Why We Built This
African music is one of the most-streamed genres on earth. Afrobeats streams on Spotify grew 34% globally in 2024. Amapiano crossed 1.4 billion streams the year before. Nigerian artists alone earned over $42 million on Spotify last year. And yet, the infrastructure that got them there has largely been built and owned offshore, leading to unclaimed "black-box" royalties . Foreign distribution platforms, offshore payment systems, month-long payment delays, and opaque royalty reporting have meant that African creators see only a fraction of what they earn — late, in foreign currency, after conversion fees.
Streamlivr for Artists is changing that. We built a localized creative-tech pipeline that connects African artists directly to global streaming audiences while keeping the economics local: faster payouts, transparent accounting, crypto and mobile money support, and a social platform that puts your music in front of fans the moment it is live.
Streamlivr for Artists is currently in its pilot program. If you are an independent artist or label interested in joining, send join request to our Whatsapp community to apply.
Getting Started
From creating your account to having your first release live on Streamlivr, Spotify and Boomplay takes less than 72 hours.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to artists.streamlivr.com and choose your plan. You can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or by USDC on Solana.

Step 2: Verify Your Email
After signing up you will receive a 6-digit verification code by email. Enter it on the verification screen to activate your account. The code expires in 15 minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder or use the resend link (available after 60 seconds).
Step 3: Complete Your Setup
When you first log in, you will be guided through a 5-step setup wizard. Each step can be completed later if needed, but we recommend finishing all five before your first upload.
Set Up Your Artist Profile — name, genre, country, bio, and profile photo
Connect Your Wallet — link a Solana wallet for $LIVR rewards and a Base-compatible wallet for USDC royalties
Add a Payout Method — your bank account, mobile money number, or wallet for withdrawals
Claim Your DSP Profiles — link your official pages on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other platforms
Upload Your First Release — or explore the dashboard first
You can return to any setup step at any time via the banner on your dashboard.
Step 4: Upload and Distribute
Once your profile is set up, go to Releases → New Release. The upload wizard walks you through six steps: release info, tracks, artwork, credits and splits, store selection, and review. After you submit, our team reviews and approves your release before it goes live. Typical processing time: 24–72 hours.
Step 5: Earn and Get Paid
Once your release is live, streams start counting. Your earnings are calculated monthly and visible in your dashboard in near-real time. Withdraw to your USDC wallet, your bank account, or your mobile money number whenever your balance reaches the minimum threshold.
Plans & Pricing
One annual subscription. No per-release fees. No surprise charges. Streamlivr for Artists takes 10% of your gross royalties as a platform commission — and that’s it.
Understanding the 10% Commission
When a streaming platform pays royalties for your music, Streamlivr for Artists retains 10% as a platform commission. The remaining 90% is yours. If your track earns $100 in a given month:
You see: Gross Revenue $100
Platform Commission (10%): $10
Your Net Payout: $90
This is shown transparently on every royalty statement. No hidden charges, no unexplained deductions.

The Upload Wizard — 6 Steps
Click New Release in your dashboard or releases list to begin. Your progress is automatically saved at every step. You can leave and return without losing any data.
Step 1: Release Information
Fill in the core details of your release:
Title: Use proper Title Case. Example: "Midnight in Lagos" not "midnight in lagos"
Primary Artist: Select from your artist profiles
Featured Artists: Add any featured collaborators by name
Genre: Choose from 40+ genres including Afrobeats, Amapiano, Highlife, Bongo Flava, Gengetone, Gqom, Kwaito, Afrofusion, and more
Language: The primary language of the lyrics
Release Date: Must be at least 7 days in the future. Select your timezone.
Label Name: The label name that will appear on all streaming platforms. Defaults to "{Artist Name} Music". Use your own label name if you have one.
Explicit Content: Toggle on if your release contains explicit language
Copyright: Auto-filled as "© 2026 {Label Name}" — edit if needed
Your label name — not Streamlivr — appears on every streaming platform. Your release is presented as your own release on your own label.
Step 2: Tracks
Upload your audio files. Drag and drop or click to browse.
Accepted formats and requirements:
WAV (16-bit or 24-bit, minimum 44.1kHz sample rate) — recommended
FLAC — accepted
Maximum file size: 500MB per track
Minimum duration: 10 seconds
Maximum duration: 60 minutes
MP3 files are not accepted. Streaming platforms require lossless audio. If you only have an MP3, re-export from your DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) as WAV before uploading.
For each track you can also add:
Track title and featured artists
Explicit content toggle (can be different per track)
Lyrics — optional but recommended. Including lyrics increases listener engagement by up to 25% on platforms that display them.
Step 3: Artwork
Your cover art is the first thing people see. Requirements:
Minimum size: 3000 × 3000 pixels
Format: JPEG or PNG
Maximum file size: 25MB
Must be a perfect square
The upload screen shows a live preview of how your artwork will look on Spotify, in search results, and on Apple Music. A crop tool is available if your image is not square.
Artwork that contains streaming platform logos (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.), social media handles, pricing text, watermarks, blurry or pixelated images, or text-only designs may be rejected by streaming platforms. Our team will notify you if your artwork does not meet requirements.
Step 4: Credits & Royalty Splits
Add everyone who contributed to your release and set how royalties should be divided between them.
For each track, you can add contributors with the following roles:
Primary Artist • Featured Artist • Producer • Songwriter • Lyricist
Composer • Mixer • Mastering Engineer • Arranger
Each contributor gets a percentage split. A real-time pie chart shows how royalties will be divided as you set the numbers. The total must equal 100% (which includes the 10% platform commission shown as a fixed slice in the chart).
If a contributor has a Solana wallet address, you can add it here. Their share of royalties will be sent directly to their wallet when payouts are processed.
Use the “Apply same splits to all tracks” checkbox to copy your split configuration across all tracks in an EP or album without entering it manually for each.
Step 5: Stores & Territories
Choose which streaming platforms to distribute to and which territories.
Stores are grouped by region:
Global: Streamlivr, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, TIDAL, YouTube Music, Shazam, Pandora, iHeartRadio
Africa: Boomplay, Audiomack, Mdundo
Social: TikTok, Instagram/Facebook, Snapchat
Asia & Other: Anghami, JioSaavn, NetEase, Yandex Music
All stores are selected by default. You can deselect individual stores if needed.
Territory options:
Distribute worldwide (recommended — default)
Select specific territories — available if your release is region-licensed or you want to control where it appears
Pre-save / Pre-order:
Enable pre-save to let fans save your release before it drops. Set a pre-save start date earlier than the release date. Pre-saves directly improve your chances of landing on New Music Friday and other editorial playlists.
Step 6: Review & Submit
Review everything before submitting. Each section can be expanded and edited. Once you are satisfied, tick the confirmation checkbox and click Submit for Review.
After submission: our team reviews your release (audio quality, artwork compliance, metadata accuracy). If everything passes, your release is sent to all selected stores. You will receive an email when it is live.

Editing a Live Release
To update the metadata on a release that is already live (for example: fixing a typo, updating artwork, or adding a contributor), go to the release detail page and click Edit Metadata. Changes are applied across all stores. The release will briefly show a status of Updating while this is in progress.
Taking Down a Release
To remove a release from all stores, open the release detail page and click Request Takedown. You will be asked to confirm by typing TAKEDOWN. Processing takes 24–72 hours.
Takedowns are not immediate and cannot be easily reversed. Royalties already earned before the takedown will still be paid. Make sure this is what you want before confirming.
ISRCs, UPCs & Metadata
Every track you distribute through Streamlivr for Artists gets its own ISRC. Every release gets a UPC barcode. Both are assigned automatically — you do not need to register or pay for these separately.
What is an ISRC?
ISRC stands for International Standard Recording Code. It is a 12-character code that uniquely identifies a specific recording worldwide. Think of it like a fingerprint for your track. Every stream, every download, and every royalty payment is tracked using the ISRC.
When your track is distributed through Streamlivr for Artists, an ISRC is automatically assigned and embedded in the metadata sent to all streaming platforms. This ISRC appears in your release dashboard.
What is a UPC?
UPC stands for Universal Product Code. It is the barcode that identifies your release as a product (the album or single as a whole, not the individual tracks). Every release submitted through Streamlivr for Artists receives a UPC automatically.
Can I Provide My Own ISRCs?
Yes. If you already have ISRCs assigned to your tracks from a previous distribution (for example, from an earlier release), you can enter them during the upload wizard in Step 4 (Credits & Splits). Using your existing ISRCs ensures that streaming history from before you moved to Streamlivr for Artists is linked to the same recording.
If you are re-distributing music you previously released elsewhere and want your existing stream counts to carry forward on Spotify and Apple Music, make sure you use the same ISRCs from your previous release. Contact [email protected] if you need help with this.
Metadata Standards
Streaming platforms have strict metadata requirements. Common reasons for rejection include:
Title not in Title Case ("midnight in lagos" instead of "Midnight in Lagos")
Artist name contains special characters not supported by certain stores
Copyright year is incorrect
Language selected does not match the actual language of the lyrics
The upload wizard validates your metadata before submission and flags any issues. Our team also reviews every release before it is submitted to stores.

Estimated vs Confirmed Revenue
You will see two revenue figures in your dashboard:
Estimated revenue: Calculated daily based on your stream counts and average per-stream rates per platform. This gives you a near-real-time view of what you are likely to earn. It appears as a dashed line on charts.
Confirmed revenue: The official figure from your monthly royalty statement, issued on the 5th of each month. This is the final, audited number used to calculate your actual payout. It appears as a solid line.
Estimated revenue is a projection, not a guarantee. Final amounts depend on the actual royalty rates paid by each streaming platform for the reporting period. Confirmed figures are always authoritative.
Playlist Placements
When any of your tracks is added to a playlist on Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, or another supported platform, you receive a real-time notification. Your analytics page shows a Playlist Placements timeline with:
Playlist name and the platform it is on
Whether it is an Editorial playlist (curated by the platform’s team) or Algorithmic (created by the platform’s recommendation system)
The date your track was added
Estimated listener reach for that playlist
Editorial playlists have the highest impact. To improve your chances of landing on editorial playlists, upload your release at least 7 days before the release date and enable pre-save in Step 5 of the upload wizard. Our AI assistant can advise on the best strategy for your genre.
Audience Demographics
Where streaming platforms provide listener data, your analytics dashboard shows:
Top countries (with flags and percentage of total streams)
Age group distribution (under 18, 18–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45+)
Gender split
This data updates monthly. Not all platforms share demographic data — the chart will note when data is unavailable for certain territories or periods.
Filtering and Comparing
Use the date range selector to filter analytics to any time period: last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 1 year, all time, or a custom range. You can also overlay the current period against the previous period to compare growth.
Exporting Your Analytics
To export your analytics data, click the Export button at the top of the analytics page. Choose:
Format: PDF (formatted report with charts) or CSV (flat data for spreadsheets)
Date range
Content: Streams, Revenue, Territories, DSP Breakdown, Track Performance, Playlist Placements, Audience Demographics — check as many as you need
PDF exports are branded with your artist name and the Streamlivr for Artists logo. They are suitable for sharing with labels, managers, booking agents, or sponsors as proof of performance.
Royalties & Payments
Royalties from your streams arrive in your account monthly. You can withdraw them to a USDC wallet, a European or US bank account, an African bank account, or mobile money — whichever works best for you.
How Royalties Are Calculated
Every streaming platform pays a royalty per stream. Rates vary by platform, subscription type, and territory. As a general reference:
Monthly Royalty Statements
On the 5th of each month, Streamlivr for Artists generates a royalty statement for the previous month. Your statement is available in Wallet → Statements and is also emailed to you.
Each statement includes:
Gross revenue per track, per streaming platform, per territory
Platform commission (10%) clearly itemized
Your net payout amount
Opening and closing balance
Payouts made during the period
Running balance
Statements are available in two formats:
PDF — branded document suitable for business accounting and tax records
CSV — flat data for importing into accounting software (Wave, QuickBooks, Excel)
Your Wallet
Your wallet page shows three balance cards:
Royalty Earnings (USDC): Your streaming royalties, held in USDC (a US dollar-pegged stablecoin). This is on the Base network (a fast, low-cost blockchain). You can withdraw to any Base-compatible wallet or your bank account.
$LIVR Rewards: Tokens earned from your activity on the Streamlivr social app — posts, livestreams, and view milestones. On the Solana network.
Local Currency: If you have converted USDC to your local currency and it is pending bank transfer, it appears here.

You will receive an email confirmation with the transaction reference. For USDC withdrawals, a link to the on-chain transaction is included.
USDC is the fastest and cheapest withdrawal method. It settles instantly with a network fee of around $0.01. If you hold USDC in your wallet, you are protected from local currency depreciation — USDC is always worth $1 USD. You can convert to your local currency whenever you choose.
Royalty Splits: Paying Your Collaborators
If you added contributors and split percentages during your upload, royalties are automatically divided and distributed to each person based on their share. Collaborators who have a wallet address on file receive their portion directly. Those without a wallet receive their share to a secure holding account and are notified by email with instructions to claim it.
You can review the split configuration for any release by going to the release detail page and scrolling to the Credits & Splits section.
$LIVR Rewards
$LIVR is Streamlivr’s native token on Solana. As an artist on Streamlivr for Artists, you earn $LIVR for every piece of content you create on the Streamlivr social app — including posts, livestreams, and view milestones.
How You Earn $LIVR
$LIVR rewards are credited to your weekly in a batch transfer. They appear in your Wallet under the $LIVR Rewards section, with a full history of what you earned and why.
What Can You Do With $LIVR?
Hold it as a speculative asset with a USD-LIVR value
Use it to tip other creators on the Streamlivr social app
Swap it for other tokens on decentralized exchanges like Jupiter
Future uses: access to exclusive features, governance voting, fan collectibles
$LIVR and Your USDC Royalties Are Separate
Your streaming royalties (paid in USDC from DSP streams) are completely separate from your $LIVR engagement rewards. They are held in different wallets on different networks. Your USDC royalties are on Base network. Your $LIVR is on Solana. Both are shown in your wallet dashboard with their current values.
The Streamlivr Advantage: Faster Earnings
When your distributed music plays on the Streamlivr social app, you earn $LIVR rewards immediately — the same day. This is significantly faster than the 60–90 day payment cycle from streaming platforms. Your Streamlivr in-app plays are tracked separately in your analytics under “Streamlivr App Plays.”
AI Assistant
Your AI assistant understands your catalog, your revenue, and your audience. Ask it anything about your music career — from understanding your royalty statement to planning your next release.
How to Access It
The AI assistant is available from every page in your dashboard via the floating chat icon in the bottom-right corner. You can also open the full assistant page from the navigation sidebar. On mobile, it opens as a full-screen chat.

DSP Profile Management & Verification
Distributing your music is only the first step. Claiming your official artist profiles on streaming platforms gives you access to analytics, editorial pitching tools, and the ability to customize your presence for fans.
Why Claiming Your Profiles Matters
Each major streaming platform has an artist-facing portal that is separate from the streaming app itself. Once you claim your profile:
You can see detailed analytics directly from that platform
You can pitch your upcoming releases for consideration on editorial playlists
You can update your artist photo, bio, and social links
You can verify that your releases are attributed correctly to your profile

How to Claim Your Profile
Go to Profiles in your dashboard sidebar
Click the “Claim Profile” link on any platform card — this opens the platform’s official claim page in a new tab
Follow that platform’s verification process (each is different; most require an email or artist account login)
Once verified on that platform, copy your public profile URL and paste it back in the Streamlivr for Artists profile card
Our team will review and confirm the link. Status will change to Verified.
Each platform has its own timeline for profile activation after a release goes live. Spotify for Artists and Streamlivr profiles typically become claimable within 24–48 hours of your first release going live. Boomplay may take 3–5 days.
Streamlivr Verified Badge
Once you have at least one verified DSP profile and at least one live release through Streamlivr for Artists, you automatically qualify for a Verified Artist badge on the Streamlivr social platform.
The Verified badge gives you:
A verified checkmark on your Streamlivr social profile
Priority placement in the Streamlivr music browser when fans are looking for music for their videos
Eligibility for the Trending Sounds spotlight (see Section 11)
Your distributed catalog shown as discoverable within the Streamlivr app
The fastest path to the Verified badge is: distribute a single → go live → claim your Spotify for Artists profile. Once the release is live and the Spotify profile is verified, the badge is activated automatically.
Marketing, Discovery & Trending Sounds
Streamlivr for Artists is not just a distribution tool — it is connected to a social platform with active creators and fans. Your distributed music can be discovered, used, and promoted within the Streamlivr app.
Trending Sounds
The Streamlivr social app features a “Trending Sounds” section where fans and creators can browse and use music in their videos. High-performing tracks distributed through Streamlivr for Artists are eligible to be featured here.
Trending Sounds placement is based on:
Stream velocity (streams per day relative to catalog size)
Engagement on the Streamlivr social app (posts using your track, comments, shares)
Verified artist status (see Section 10)
Marketing opt-in (you must opt in to be considered — toggle in your artist settings)
Trending Sounds placement is free. Opting in takes one click in Settings → Profile → Marketing Preferences. There is no additional cost and it does not affect your royalties.
Streamlivr Social App Distribution Boost
When your music is distributed through Streamlivr for Artists and verified, it is given priority placement in the Streamlivr app’s music browser. When fans browse for music to add to their videos or livestreams, your tracks appear before non-distributed music in your genre.
When a fan uses your track in their video:
The track is linked back to your artist profile in the Streamlivr app
You earn $LIVR rewards from the native playback
Your analytics show the track’s performance within the Streamlivr app separately from external DSP streams
Fans go to music streaming platforms like Spotify & Apple music to listen to your catalogue.
AI-Powered A&R & Artist Development Insights
Your AI assistant goes beyond answering questions. It actively surfaces insights based on your data to help you make decisions:
Release timing: Based on your audience’s listening patterns and timezone, the AI recommends the optimal day and time to release new music.
Genre positioning: The AI identifies which genre tags are generating the most discovery for your style of music on each platform.
Platform strategy: It analyzes which DSPs are converting casual listeners into fans for your genre and suggests where to focus promotional energy.
Playlist pitching: When you have an upcoming release, the AI advises on which playlists to pitch to and how to frame your pitch based on your audience data.
Copyright Monetization (Content ID)
If your tracks are being used in YouTube videos by fans or other creators, Content ID allows you to earn a share of the advertising revenue on those videos. This is separate from standard streaming royalties.
To enable Content ID:
Claim your YouTube Studio profile (see Section 10)
In YouTube Studio, enroll your releases in Content ID
YouTube will automatically identify videos using your music and attribute the ad revenue to your channel
Content ID earnings appear in your YouTube Studio dashboard, not in Streamlivr for Artists. Your ISRC codes, which are assigned automatically by Streamlivr, are what YouTube uses to identify your music.
Label Management
The Label plan and Enterprise plan give you a multi-artist management layer. Manage multiple artists from a single account, view aggregate analytics, and set up shared royalty structures.
Label Dashboard
The label dashboard (available on Label and Enterprise plans) lets you:
Switch between artist profiles using a dropdown at the top of the sidebar
View aggregate analytics across all artists (total streams, total revenue, combined audience)
Submit and manage releases for each artist independently
Set up royalty splits that route a percentage of every artist’s earnings to a shared label pool
Export combined royalty statements across all artists
Adding Artists to Your Label
Go to Label in the sidebar
Click Add Artist
Enter the artist’s name, genre, country, and contact email
An invitation is sent to the artist. Once they accept, their releases and analytics appear in your label dashboard.
Label plan: up to 3 artist profiles. Enterprise: unlimited.
Shared Royalty Pools
A shared royalty pool allows you to automatically route a percentage of royalties from every artist on your label to a central label wallet. This is set up during the Credits & Splits step of each release, by adding the label wallet as a contributor with a defined percentage.
Example: Artist earns $1,000. Label has a 20% pool. $800 goes to the artist. $200 goes to the label wallet automatically, without any manual processing.
Account Security
Your account holds real money and your creative work. We take security seriously. Here is what is available to protect your account.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security beyond your password. When enabled, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) when performing sensitive actions.
2FA is required for:
Withdrawing funds
Changing your wallet address
Changing your bank or mobile money details
Changing your email address or password
Requesting a release takedown
Deleting your account
To enable 2FA: go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication and follow the setup steps. You will receive 8 recovery codes — save these in a safe place. They are the only way to recover access if you lose your authenticator app.
Active Sessions
Under Settings → Security → Active Sessions, you can see every device currently logged into your account. Each session shows the device type, browser, approximate location, and last active time.
You can log out of any individual session or log out of all sessions at once. Use this if you think your account may have been accessed without your permission.
Security Alerts
You will receive an email notification whenever any of the following happen on your account:
New login from an unrecognized device or location
Password changed
Email address changed
Wallet address changed
Bank or mobile money details changed
If you receive a security alert for an action you did not take, reset your password immediately at artists.streamlivr.com/forgot-password and contact [email protected].
Activity Log
Every sensitive action on your account is logged in Settings → Security → Activity Log. This includes logins, password changes, wallet changes, and withdrawal requests. The log shows the date, time, action, and device for each event. This log is retained for 2 years.
Notifications
Streamlivr for Artists keeps you informed about every important event on your account — without overwhelming you.
In-App Notifications
The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your unread notification count. Click it to open your notification feed. Tapping any notification takes you directly to the relevant page.
Email Preferences
You can control which notifications also send an email to your inbox. Go to Settings → Notifications. Each notification type has an independent toggle for In-App and Email. All are on by default. Transactional emails (payouts, security alerts) cannot be disabled.

Account Management
Changing Your Details
Your name, email, bio, and profile photo can be updated at any time in Settings → Profile. Changing your email requires verification of the new address.
Managing Your Subscription
In Settings → Subscription you can:
View your current plan and renewal date
Change your payment method
Upgrade to a higher plan
Cancel your subscription
If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of your paid period. Your releases stay live on all streaming platforms. Analytics stop updating. You cannot upload new releases. Your earned royalties continue to be paid.
Exporting Your Data
Under Settings → Account you can request a full export of all your account data: profile, releases, analytics, and payout history. The export is prepared and sent to your email address, typically within a few hours.
Deleting Your Account
To permanently delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You will be shown your current wallet balance and release count before confirming — we recommend withdrawing any remaining balance and saving your statements before proceeding.
Account deletion is scheduled for 30 days after your request. During this grace period you can log in and reactivate. After 30 days, your account and all associated data are permanently removed.
Your releases will remain on streaming platforms after account deletion under your label name, but you will lose the ability to manage them, update metadata, request takedowns, or receive royalty payouts. Consider taking down your releases first if you want them removed from stores.
