# Best Practices

Streamlivr Creator's Guide

The Streamlivr Creator's Guide: Maximizing Your Reach Following these core principles will give your posts the absolute highest chance of hitting the "Trending" feed and dominating the "For You" pages.

The Golden Rule: The algorithm is designed to emulate authentic human interest. Create content that people genuinely want to watch, and the system will actively work to amplify it.

1. Hook Them Early The algorithm heavily rewards Watch Completion. If viewers watch your video all the way to the end, the system recognizes it as high-quality content and pushes it to significantly more people.

* Best Practice: Make the first 3 seconds irresistible. Avoid long, slow intros. Shorter, punchy videos that keep the viewer's attention from start to finish will naturally rank much higher than long videos that people scroll past halfway through.
* Avoid: Clickbait that doesn't deliver. If users click and immediately scroll away, your score drops.

2. Use Clear Descriptions & Hashtags When users sign up, they pick favorite categories (like Comedy, Tech, Fitness, Business). The algorithm matches your content to these users by reading your description and hashtags.

* Best Practice: Always use 2-3 highly relevant hashtags. If you're posting a workout routine, don't just leave the description blank—add words like "fitness," "workout," or "gym" so the algorithm immediately knows who to show it to.
* Avoid: "Hashtag stuffing" with irrelevant tags. It just confuses the system.

3. Build Genuine Relationships (Creator Affinity) The "For You" feed prioritizes a metric called Affinity. If a user consistently likes or comments on your videos, the algorithm takes notes and essentially "subscribes" them to your content in the background.

* Best Practice: Ask questions in your videos to encourage comments. Reply to comments! The more consistently a user interacts with you, the higher your future videos will rank on their feed.
* Social Proof: Your videos also get a massive visibility boost to the friends of the people who engage with your content.

4. Be Consistent & Fresh The feeds naturally favor newer content.

* Best Practice: Post consistently to keep your community engaged. The internet moves fast—to stay relevant and consistently appear on people's feeds, maintaining a steady schedule of fresh uploads is vital.

5. Respect the Viewer (Avoid the "Not Interested" Button) Users have the ability to dismiss videos they don't like or choose to "See Less" from specific creators.

* Best Practice: Stay true to your niche and provide value. If viewers start hitting the "Not Interested" button on your posts, the algorithm applies a heavy penalty to your account, making it significantly harder to reach new audiences.
* Avoid: Spamming 10 low-effort videos in a row. Not only will people dismiss them, but the platform actually has active measures to prevent a single creator from dominating the feed, ensuring variety for the viewer. Quality over quantity!
